I was born and raised in St. Cloud, Minnesota and have been a resident of Eden Prairie for over 14 years. I am the mother of three children, a business owner and practicing attorney.

  • Attorney, practicing in both the private sector and part-time as a public defender in the First Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court and the Office of the Appellate Public Defender.

  • Practiced law in both Chicago, Illinois and Minneapolis, MN.

  • Law clerk to the Honorable Myron H. Bright, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (Fargo).

  • Lecturer, thought leader and award-winning author in the areas of environmental policy, criminal justice, strategic communications and media relations.

One way for you, as a District 49A resident, to learn about me and help you determine whether you think I am a good fit to represent you at the state capitol is to share with you what I value.

  • Fiscal responsibility and accountability

    We should live within our means. We must be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.

  • Law enforcement and all first responders

    I value law enforcement and first responders and believe they need to be properly funded and supported. Anything short of adequate support and resources, we will continue to see a decline in public safety.

  • Children's Education

    We empower our children by educating them. We must ensure that our children are equipped with knowledge that will help them thrive – reading, writing, math and the sciences.

  • Veterans

    As a public defender for veterans of our military, I value caring for and supporting our veterans and military personnel. They have served us and protected us. We must do the same for them when they come home.

  • Natural Resources

    I value safeguaring our natural resources. It is not just a moral imperative, it is an economic necessity. We all require clean water and clean air. We must strike the critical balance of protecting our resources, and at the same time fostering economic growth.

  • Listening

    This is the best way we can come to better to understand each other.
